From the Mill to Completion
I source my wood at a couple local mills on the Sunshine Coast.
All the pieces are hand picked at the mill. It takes time to find the right pieces for size, good quality without cracks.
I do the sanding, routering, cutting and grinding the glass, soldering and installing the glass in the wood.
John, my partner cuts the holes in the wood, and making the stands. I so appreciate his help!
The whole process can take a few weeks until the final completion is done. All the Poles and hangings are treated with three coats of the highest quality marine varnish to add to the longevity of the wood.
It is a labour of love!

Want to do a project with stained glass and some old wooden water skis. Where can I get different sized pieces of stained glass?
Thank you from Bay St Louis, MS
Hi Karen, that would be a fun project. I buy my glass in sheets from a Stained glass store close to where I live. I cut my own pieces whatever size I need. Hopefully you can find a store like that close to your home.
